Sitting on the mountainside, facing south, Eygliers has two rivers flowing at its feet: the Durance and the Guil.
Eygliers is appreciated for the excellent view it offers of the Ecrins and Pelvoux mountains.

The village of Eygliers overlooks the Guil valley: there is also a breathtaking view of the fortified town of Mont-Dauphin.

This village is part of the Queyras Regional Natural Park.
The GR541 hiking trail goes through Eygliers : hikes can be made toward Guillestre and Arvieux and toward the Way of St. James.

Historical information
The Saint-Guillaume Chapel holds the hand of the “Saint”, who, in the 12th century, saved the monks of Notre-Dame-de-Calme from the flood that destroyed the village of Rame.
The Saint-Antoine Church from the 16th century has a beautiful Gothic porch with columns of pink marble. Inside the church are a number of murals relating the history of Compostella.
