Noted in medieval archives of the 12th century, Saint-Clément-sur-Durance is a town that once belonged to the parish of Réotier.
An old fortified town as far back as the 13th century, Saint-Clément was renamed Saint-Clement-Sur-Durance on August 19, 1989.
